aaaaaaah

I am officially the most awkward person on the face of this planet.

Me: So, how are the guys at MIT?
Nice girl that called me: Well, we have a saying - the odds are good but the goods are odd.
Me: But the odds aren't that good anymore, it's like 50/50!
Nice girl: ....
Me: ...okay then. So, what dorm do you live in?

The least awkward part was when I said that I didn't think that Hayden Christensen was that good-looking and she laughed. I should not be allowed near phones.

Whooo CPW! Hopefully everyone will be too sleep-deprived to be embarassed at how awkward I am :) Also tomorrow I have a scholarship search to begin looking for the 100k that I need for my education. Also, I need to visit Cornell.

Oh - I forgot about that! I got a likely letter from Cornell inviting me to a SWE program. I am slightly concerned that I'm only getting into college because I am a girl that likes math and science. I am more concerned that Cornell is in the middle of NOWHERE and I have no clue how to get there. Apparently there are only two airlines that fly into the airport - I will have to examine this in greater detail.

But, I will leave you with this other conversation from today:

My mom: So, you're willing to look at Cornell, but not at U of I.
Me: Well, Cornell's different.
My mom: Cornell is in the middle of nowhere. U of I is in the middle of nowhere.
Me: Yeah, but Cornell has trees. U of I only has corn.

Now I'm off to do some French homework. I think that Mme Wolf is immune to my awkwardness so this'll probably go better...

lol, e-mail me your phone number, we'll give you a second chance at non-awkwardness (at the very least we can talk about blogging and I can tell you good Ben/Matt/Nance blackmail stories)

Awkward solidarity!

Let's start a club.
We can meet every Sunday afternoon to dial random numbers and mutter maladroitly into the phone.

:) i'm glad that there's an awkward support group for future '12s - this week's meeting includes calls from a blogger and tips on how to make polite conversation!

:P Take that, blog stalker!

Actually, I've just been updating my blog (I tend to horribly neglect it, you see) and comments are enabled now.

Snively, you are in trouble.

And so are you Karen if you go to Cornell.

That is all.
